I Don’t Know Your Name Yet, But I Know You

Dear one,

I don’t know your name yet,
but I know you.

I feel you as someone who has been holding a lot on her own.
Someone who longs to rest into being held.
To soften.
To be heard, seen, and acknowledged exactly as she is.

You may be standing at a threshold,
a pause between what has been
and what is quietly asking to be born.

You are not broken.
You don’t need fixing.

You need space.
Time.
Nature.
And the right circle around you.

I want to share something personal.

I am a peri menopausal woman in my mid fifties,
and some days this changing body feels overwhelming.

There are mood swings,
a sensitive nervous system,
moments of feeling alone even in the middle of many people.

Often I realise how much of my life I have given to others,
how often I placed myself last.

What I long for now is simple.

To be in nature.
To listen to rivers flowing,
to bird songs,
to the waves of the sea finding the shore.

That is already the most beautiful music to my ears.

I long for women around me who want to grow,
who listen deeply to themselves,
who honour the wisdom of their bodies,
and share stories without trying to fix one another.

Women who can accept each other exactly as we are.

So I created a place for that.

A retreat where we can rest,
walk in nature,
listen to old myths and stories,
laugh, cry, move, and simply be.

A place where you don’t have to be strong
or hold everything together.

If something in you softens as you hear this,
if you feel recognized rather than convinced,

then maybe
we are meant to walk a small part of this path together.

With tenderness, and love
Elina
